Paula is a 2006 graduate of the Mount Royal College journalism program and a 2009 graduate of the Loyalist College photojournalism program. Her diverse skill set includes writing, photography, videography and editing.
She worked as a reporter and photographer at the Stony Plain Reporter/Spruce Grove Examiner in Alberta before deciding to further pursue her passion for visual storytelling. Paula completed contracts as an intern photojournalist at both the Calgary Herald and Windsor Star. She is currently working as a reporter, photographer and editor at the Red Deer Advocate, the daily newspaper in Red Deer, AB.
Paula strives to capture intriguing and genuine moments from stories found close to home and afar. Her work has appeared in the National Post, Calgary Herald, Windsor Star, Regina Leader-Post, the Red Deer Advocate, Stony Plain Reporter, Spruce Grove Examiner, Reflections magazine, Cottage Magazine, Onsite Installer magazine and Canwest News Service.
